Aimbridge Hospitality Welcomes Greg Moundas Back to Chief Legal Officer Role
Strategic legal leader recommits to Aimbridge and is expected to continue building on a decade-plus of proven experience with the growing global hotel management company
PLANO, Texas, April 22, 2024 — Aimbridge Hospitality – a leading, global hospitality management company and the world’s largest third-party hotel operator – today announced Greg Moundas as Chief Legal Officer, reassuming the role after a short stint away from the organization.
As Chief Legal Officer, Moundas will play a key role on the executive team, reporting directly to Aimbridge CEO Craig S. Smith, and is charged with overseeing legal, risk management, compliance, licensing, and contracts. In addition to proven experience in these areas, he also brings a profound understanding of Aimbridge’s business model, its owners, and the industry at large given he spent more than a decade helping build Aimbridge into the company it is today, including overseeing the integration of Interstate.
“As we further optimize our business and create a performance-led culture, I’m excited to welcome Greg Moundas back to Aimbridge and look forward to working side-by-side as we transform our approach and accelerate actions that put the property team at the center of our strategy,” said Smith. “Greg’s extensive understanding of our business and the industry, along with the fresh perspective he brings today, will be invaluable as we work to deepen trust and consistently deliver for our owners, brand partners, and associates.”
Moundas first joined Aimbridge in 2011, holding legal positions of escalating responsibility and serving as General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer for more than a decade prior to his departure for a Chief Growth Officer and Partner role with Mayfair Management Group. In addition to providing strategic legal insights as a key member of the Aimbridge executive team, Moundas also oversaw a substantial number of transactions, including the negotiation, structure, completion, and integration of multiple merger and acquisition deals valued at more than $1 billion.
Moundas rejoins a deep slate of top talent on the Aimbridge senior leadership team. He is the most recent executive-level hire this spring following the internal promotion of Keryn McNamara, who assumed the role of Chief Information Officer earlier this month.
